Flood Recovery Works

In July 2024, the Shire of Yalgoo in WA experienced severe flood damage across 30 roads spanning 33,000 km². MCC Contractors, as sole contractor, committed to reinstating infrastructure—reshaping drains, reconstructing pavements, replacing culverts, and re-sheeting gravel—within 12 months to satisfy disaster recovery deadlines. They set up remote camps, sourced water via bores and dams, used local labour, and adapted schedules for wet conditions. The $4.7M project was delivered three months early, praised for safe, efficient work under extreme, remote conditions.
